Previously we guessed that the anaconda folks hadn't done any testing with usb installs using diskboot images. I guess the fact that they are removing diskboot.img in Fedora 9 confirms it.
Let me know how many of your dev/test machines need cd/dvd/rw drives. I believe there are some extras in the storage closet, but we may need more.
In our documentation, we will focus on using boot.iso/netinst.iso as the method to test newly minted distros.
