jffs2 is only relevant if you have the correct interface to the
flash controller to use the MTD layer. Most SSDs show up as normal
IDE or SATA devices.

Oh, I see. Forgive me for my ignorance. So there is no wear leveling on CF cards for these systems? So all flash based filesystems are only relevant only if used with MTD layer?
