This response does not address your question:-)
Remastering a single CD alone and expecting the others to work with it
is inherently risky: it might work (I've not tried), and it certainly
can fail: what if splittree on your system splits the images
differently? You could have packages twice, and you could miss packages.
Depending on what I was trying to do, I might not use the Anaconda tools
at all: it's perfectly possible, for example, to open the initial ram
disk and change its content (eg change default boot parameters, add a
kicxkstart file) and repackage it using little more than mount, gzip, vi
and mkisofs.
