Try Increasing the size of your ramdisk to something like ramdisk_size=65536

It also is unable to find your root disk... I had it b4, but can't seem to remeber...

     I made the distribution CD from CentOS 4  for  64bit processor.  when the CD boots  it gives the message

 

RAMDISK: Compressed image found at block 0

RAMDISK: incomplete write(-28:=32768) 7340032

 

VFS: Cannot open root device"<NULL>" or unknown-block(3,5)

please append a correct "root=" boot option kernel panic -not syncing :VFS:Unable to mount root fs on unknown -block(3,5)

 

my isolinux.cfg

 

             default ks

             prompt 1

             timeout 40

             display boot.msg

label ks

        kernel vmlinuz

        append ks=file:/ks.cfg initrd=initrd.img lang=text devfs=nomount ramdisk_size=7168

 

 

Can anyone knows soultion for this problem
