Dear Richard, I'm guessing you've recompiled your kernel with madwifi
stuff for the Atheros wireless chipset. I know it isn't standard with
FC3. I'm not sure that's compatible with the other standard FC3
drivers. 

If you do get it to work, I would like to hear about it.
