-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Further to my investigations, I've found that the initrd.img produced by buildinstall is a gzipped ASCII cpio archive (SVR4 with no CRC). I was rather expecting this to be a gzipped Linux rev 1.0 ext2 filesystem data. The buildinstall command I run to create all this is: /usr/lib/anaconda-runtime/buildinstall --pkgorder /usr2/src/redhat/BUILD/pkgorder.txt --debug --version 3.0 --release Fedora --comp 3.0.0 --product "Fedora" --prodpath Fedora --buildinstdir /usr2/src/redhat/BUILD/i386/build /usr2/src/redhat/BUILD/i386 Does anyone have any ideas if this *is* the correct behaviour for mk-images and friends?
