Hi Joshua

Thanks for the explanation . I now understand how it is salted :). I do have
a few queries though .
On passing the sting "echo -n "string" | grub-md5-crypt 2> /dev/null |
grep -v Password" , the prompt
is for Retype password and then passwords don't match .

What is going wrong here ? Could you guide me please ?
