Hello, I'm trying to create boot floppies for RH 9 using anaconda-runtime's buildinstall program. When I run it, I see various errors and I wonder which ones are actually problems: Building bootdisk.img >>>> /usr/bin/ppmtolss16: Premature EOF at (319,212) of (640,256) Wrote /auto/ecslinux/kickstarts/brilong/4.0a6-9/i386/images//bootdisk.img (28k free) Building drvblock.img Module aic7xxx_mod not found in kernel rpm Module dmx319ld not found in kernel rpm Module fcal not found in kernel rpm Module pluto not found in kernel rpm Module qla2x00 not found in kernel rpm Module qlogicpti not found in kernel rpm >>>> gunzip: stdin: unexpected end of file Wrote /auto/ecslinux/kickstarts/brilong/4.0a6-9/i386/images/drvblock.img (1340k) <snip> Building isolinux directory mkdir: cannot create directory `/auto/ecslinux/kickstarts/brilong/4.0a6-9/i386/isolinux': File exists >>>> /usr/bin/ppmtolss16: Premature EOF at (319,212) of (640,256) Building main moduleball The ppmtolss16 errors worry me most. When I use bootdisk.img and drvnet.img to boot my machine, I get the following error: failed to read keymap information; illegal byte sequence Alt-F3 shows the following: going to set language to en_US.UTF-8 setting language to en_US.UTF-8 requested keymap us is not valid, asking 1 keymaps are available My ks.cfg contains the following: lang en_US langsupport --default en_US en_US keyboard "us" The above values work for RH 6.2, 7.1, 7.3. What is causing my failure on RH 9. I am going off the read the RH9 customization manual right after sending this message.
