Hello list,
I have a list of about 170 rpms that are required for my RedHat custom install. How do I know which go into base and which into core?
Also, how do I know what package is mandatory, default or optional? As far as I can tell (from RH7.3) they are all required (therefore mandatory?).
In RH 7.3 I had all the packages under base but I read a document that suggested that there is a difference between the two.
Do I need to generate a group hirarchy?
Finally, I read http://rhlinux.redhat.com/anaconda/comps.html but
was wondering if there is a tool out there to generate the comps.xml itself (not the packages using getfullcomps.py) as it seems to be a non-trivial task.
