Anaconda crash

Hi,
I'm trying to install RH7.3 on an IBM x335 via the network.
My vmlinuz and initrd.img download without problem through atftp.
Then, some SCSI modules are loaded
Then Anaconda starts, displays the 3 probe lines, and stops with the following traceback
File "/usr/bin/anaconda", line 587 in ?
	id=installClass.installDataClass(extraModules,floppyDevice,configFileData)
File "/usr/lib/anaconda/instdata.py" line 169, in __init__
	self.reset()
File "/usr/lib/anaconda/instdata.py" line 54, in __init__
	self.network = network.Network()
File "/usr/lib/anaconda/network.py", line 86, in __init__
	info[netinf[0]] = string.strip(netinf[1])
IndexError: list index out of range

All I can do after that is reboot.

BTW, same error occurs with RH8.0 (with different line numbers).
Is there any doc set on how to modify the netstg1.img (apparently this is the file which calls anaconda, and I can mount it as a cramfs, but not modify it).
What I need to know is how to rebuild netstg1.img after having added debug output (unless somebody already knows the problem and has fixed it).

Thanks in advance.
