Hoping someone can help me with this one: I'd posted to trademarks@xxxxxxxxxx a week or so ago and didn't get a response. lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 9 Oct 12 07:46 flames -> /dev/null I've built a slightly modified RH 7.3 distribution for a hardware vendor. The vendor will NOT promote it as Red Hat, but will be distributing CD's with each machine sold. The distribution will be called Raj Mathur Linux or some other equally inane name. Now, if you make a customised Red Hat distribution the RH site says that you cannot call it Red Hat any more. Fair enough. But how far does that restriction go? I mean, do you have to remove the RH images from anaconda? Do you have to remove the RH logo compiled into the stock kernel in 7.3? Do you have to remove all mention of RH from the install process? How about the installed system? Do you have to (e.g.) remove the RH logo from the XDM login screen? Thoughts, opinions welcome. And apologies in advance for posting OT.
