This email is a bit unclear. The Redhat gui installation is easy point an click and allows user environment changes. If you are looking to make a kickstart type automated installation for different machines. You could simply create the kickstart files in advance save them to a shared location and make sure the users are aware of this location and there machine/kickstart_file name, see The Official Red Hat Linux Customization Guide. If you are talking thousands of machines you will want to script the kickstart file creation procedure, see CERNs AIMS system. You can go further and setup bootp/dhcp so that the mac address of the NIC determines the kickstart file used. Kickstart is a very powerful system and the fact that you can create custome distrobutions of RedHat means just about anything is possible. > -----Original Message----- > From: Laurent Cavin [mailto:Laurent.Cavin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] > Sent: Thursday, February 14, 2002 2:34 AM > To: 'anaconda-devel-list@xxxxxxxxxx' > Subject: redhat install > > Hi all > > I trying to modify the installation process of redhat linux... > > Let me to explain what I'm trying to do...
