Re: Help: maya44 device inaccessible

As it happens, I'd missed something very obvious. In pavucontrol (the one place I'd failed to look), the device showed up as being auto-configured, which explained why I couldn't open it with ALSA cli tools, or bridge it into JACK.

As soon as I disabled the device in pavucontrol, I was able to expose all 4 of its inputs and all 4 outputs in JACK via the zita bridge tools.

Cheers

Hi all,

I'm hoping for some ideas to get a maya44-based audio device working in ALSA on a Ubuntu 20.04LTS x86-64 audio workstation.

The device shows up in 'arecord -l' and 'aplay -l'. But when I try to record from it with arecord, I get:

arecord -D hw:5 -t wav -c 2 -f S16_LE -r 44100 /tmp/foo.wav
arecord: main:831: audio open error: Device or resource busy

The device shows up in alsamixer, with 2 x stereo line outputs, but only 1 x stereo line input.

My kernel does have the 'maya44' code compiled in.

Further system and device details below.

Can anyone please help me get this working?

Cheers
Daid
