Hi,

you likely need to run

  sudo lsusb

or if you don't have set up sudo, first

  su

before running

  lsusb

However, does

  arecord -l

not list the device?

It either needs to be class compliant or it requires a dedicated driver.

Does running

  lsmod | grep snd_usb_audio

return that 'snd_usb_audio' is loaded, after the mic was plugged into
an USB pot?

Regards,
Ralf
