Hello there, I have a P775TM1-R with the following issues: I cannot get the internal sub-woofer to work , even with hdajackretask. Here are the sound card details: aplay -l **** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices **** card 0: PCH [HDA Intel PCH], device 0: ALC898 Analog [ALC898 Analog] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 card 0: PCH [HDA Intel PCH], device 1: ALC898 Digital [ALC898 Digital] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 card 1: NVidia [HDA NVidia], device 3: HDMI 0 [HDMI 0] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 card 1: NVidia [HDA NVidia], device 7: HDMI 1 [HDMI 1] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 card 1: NVidia [HDA NVidia], device 8: HDMI 2 [HDMI 2] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 card 2: K3 [K3], device 0: USB Audio [USB Audio] Subdevices: 0/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 For the sound card's pin configs out of the box: cat /sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1f.3/sound/card0/hwC0D0/init_pin_configs 0x11 0x4004d000 0x12 0x90a60150 0x14 0x90170110 0x15 0x411111f0 0x16 0x411111f0 0x17 0x01011020 0x18 0x01a11040 0x19 0x411111f0 0x1a 0x0181104f 0x1b 0x411111f0 0x1c 0x411111f0 0x1d 0x40350d29 0x1e 0x01441130 0x1f 0x411111f0 And with hdajacksensetest: i. hdajacksensetest Pin 0x17 (Black Line Out, Rear side): present = No Pin 0x18 (Black Mic, Rear side): present = No Pin 0x1a (Black Line In, Rear side): present = No ii. hdajacksensetest -a Pin 0x11 (Not connected): present = No Pin 0x12 (Internal Mic): present = No Pin 0x14 (Internal Speaker): present = No Pin 0x15 (Not connected): present = No Pin 0x16 (Not connected): present = No Pin 0x17 (Black Line Out, Rear side): present = No Pin 0x18 (Black Mic, Rear side): present = No Pin 0x19 (Not connected): present = No Pin 0x1a (Black Line In, Rear side): present = No Pin 0x1b (Not connected): present = No Pin 0x1c (Not connected): present = No Pin 0x1d (Not connected): present = No Pin 0x1e (Black SPDIF Out, Rear side): present = No Pin 0x1f (Not connected): present = No And from the alsa-info.sh script: http://alsa-project.org/db/?f=d8c67f0da38611191a3b226611c416efbb7dda0b The same also applies to the amplified headset jack on the side, which according to the manufacturer, is wired up via the ESS Sabre DAC. A patch by Jeremy Soller https://www.alsa-project.org/pipermail/alsa-devel/2017-February/117509.html does indeed fix the issue, but was rejected due to quality issues. If the same can be replicated via hdajackretask, that would be awesome. So far I'm stuck. Warm regards, Dennis. _______________________________________________ Alsa-user mailing list Alsa-user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/alsa-user
