There's no such applications in alsa-tools. No developers are interested
in it or working for it, while I ack the requirements of easy-to-use
applications to control the devices.

To help new developers, I'm working for 'libhinawa'. It allows the
developers to communicate to any FireWire units via lightweight
languages such as Python.
