Ok, there is actually no detectable output from that command. With -v I just get version info.

Perhaps a bit about my configuration is in order - all mixer stuff is turned off as I am only interested in writing to plughw.


Could you for a moment hide (rename) your ALSA configuration file and restart ALSA ? Then you'll probably see some CM6631A mixer controls.
