Recording/Timing issues with Microcone snd-usb-audio device

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello all!

I got a Microcone USB sound Device. According to the web page (http://www.dev-audio.com/support/linux/) it should work with Linux. I only got it to work with Ubuntu 12.04. Now I am using Fedora 20 and also want the Microcone to work with Pidora or Raspian. On Ubuntu 14.04 it also does not work.

On all these 4 systems I have the same troubles with the Microcone device:
Recording 1 second of audio takes 2 seconds. The resulting WAV file has a duration of 1 second and is distorted. It sounds like being played double time. An example recording can be found at http://www.itbh.at/data/test.wav

I don't see the difference between the Ubuntu 12.04 ALSA configuration and my current ALSA configuration (except the ALSA version).

Can anyone please give me a hint how to deal with this issue?

See below my ALSA version and configuration as well as how the Microcone is detected.

Thank you very much and kind regards,
Christoph
