Recommendation for a well-supported multichannel audio card

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello all,

I currently employ SoundBlaster cards, aka CA0106 for audio-out setups
of 2 to 9 channels (in groups of three, 3,6,9) as the CA0106 supports
multiple ALSA output devices on one card quite well (aka. multiple
mixers).

It appears as though the CA0106 is harder and harder to get - which
soundcard would you recommend that has about three actual mixers (so
that I can, for example, start multiple mplayer instances to output on
hw0,0 / hw0,1 / hw0,2), is an internal PCI or PCIexpress card and
needs no further breakout cables?

Thank you,
 Christian.
