arecord: --duration not working

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

hi,
since 2 or 3 monts, the behaviour of "arecord -d" is rather strange:
for example, with
      arecord -f cd -d 20 -t wav tst.wav
it records correctly tst.wav for 20 seconds, but then, instead of exiting,
it continues to write a big number of files with no sound:
tst-01.wav tst-02.wav tst-03.wav . . ., of 44 bytes each.
the present version is version 1.0.28

The only workaround I found was to lauch, before the arecord call, a script
which kills it at the given time.

Has anyone seen the same problem?
I wait to have some replies before doing a bug report

best regards,
