Sound is not working on Debian

I have a new Debian box which I just upgraded to kernel from 3.2 to 3.14 in order to load my wifi firmware. Before the upgrade, sound was working fine on gnome, but after the upgrade, it stopped.
I know in order to troubleshoot this, I need to provide more info on my specs, but I'm unsure what it's needed.

I ran a lsmod | grep snd and this is what I got:

lsmod | grep snd
snd_hda_codec_conexant    44645  1
snd_hda_codec_generic    59112  1 snd_hda_codec_conexant
snd_hda_codec_hdmi     45067  1
snd_hda_intel          39719  5
snd_hda_codec         103915  4 snd_hda_codec_hdmi,snd_hda_codec_conexant,snd_hda_codec_generic,snd_hda_intel
snd_hwdep              13109  1 snd_hda_codec
snd_pcm                88488  3 snd_hda_codec_hdmi,snd_hda_codec,snd_hda_intel
snd_seq                52974  0
snd_seq_device         13132  1 snd_seq
snd_timer              26768  2 snd_pcm,snd_seq
snd                    61088  20 snd_hwdep,snd_timer,snd_hda_codec_hdmi,snd_hda_codec_conexant,snd_pcm,snd_seq,snd_hda_codec_generic,snd_hda_codec,snd_hda_intel,snd_seq_device
soundcore              13026  1 snd

dmesg | grep -i audio and I got this:

[   13.772934] input: HD-Audio Generic HDMI/DP,pcm=3 as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:01.1/sound/card0/input15
[   13.844177] input: HD-Audio Generic Front Headphone as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:14.2/sound/card1/input18
[   13.845006] input: HD-Audio Generic Mic as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:14.2/sound/card1/input17

I'm lost on what to do next now...

Thanks
