The driver is not compatible to your hardware, and nobody knows what needs to be done in order to make it work. Same goes for other models such as the TASCAM US-1800. These devices use a proprietary protocol, undisclosed by the vendor. If you're up for reverse-engineering the protocol, that'd be your chance to get involved :) If you're not, I think there's little hope anything will happen on this topic any time soon.
