i'll give hda-analyzer a try.

what kernel will the fix for 70011 go into?  or is it
already released?

i now have loopback mixing disabled.  is the mixer is
supposed to be a higher dB, right?  how can i verify?
can i then set the mixer value?  is this the issue in
bug 70011?
