And this should work without the snooping. Unless you hear any audible problems, no reason to fix this one. Another "HDA ATI HDMI" one is tied with a different graphics unit. I don't know what hardware configuration you have. Do you have multiple AMD graphics cards? Basically each HDMI audio entry is tied with the dedicated graphics chip (board). You wanted to play back via this HDMI and it didn't work?
