Hello, After upgrading my OS there is no CD control in alsamixer. I have an Intel HDA onboard chip and Realtec ALC1200 codec. It worked before because an older alsa version detected the codec incorrecly as, I think, ALC888. If I remember correctly, alsmixer started displaying the CD slider after I addded "options snd-hda-intel model=6stack-dig" to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base. Now with the new OS the alsa 1.0.25 version detects the codec correctly but the CD control is not showing even after trying out various snd-hda-intel options. Any help would be appreciated. Here is the output from alsa-info.sh: <http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9346438/alsa/alsa-info-output.txt> The motheboard is "ASUS P6T SE - Intel X58": <http://www.asus.com/Motherboard/P6T_SE/> Thanks, -- Jarda ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Go Parallel Website, sponsored by Intel - in partnership with Geeknet, is your hub for all things parallel software development, from weekly thought leadership blogs to news, videos, case studies, tutorials, tech docs, whitepapers, evaluation guides, and opinion stories.
