I have a brand new computer, only 3 days old now, and am unable to run
mpd on it due to problems with ALSA. Some details to follow;-

I have used this page -
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1885433 - as a guide for my
attempts to get mpd running but all to no avail.
Can anybody please guide me in getting mpd working using alsa as I've
had it working before on an old computer, but this one has me beat! I
hope that this is the right place to get help, sorry if its not.
