The kernel used is 3.5.0-18 generic x86_64
The alsa version is 1.0.25 and the driver selected by udevd is the snd_hda_intel

Kernel driver in use: snd_hda_intel

Finally I find out that the cracking occurs when the power supply, when the power is plugged and the battery is recharging.
I'm not sure it's related to alsa configuration.
Has anyone solved this kind of problem?
Should it be related to the frequencies range of the sound card?

Hi all, I've some driver problem with an acer aspire e1-531 notebook.
It seems no audio card is recognized:
cat /proc/asound/cards
--- no soundcards ---
I'm not sure if snd-hda-intel is the correct module to use, anyway I
failed with the following option:
sudo modprobe snd-hda-intel model=auto
sudo modprobe snd-hda-intel model=aspire
sudo modprobe snd-hda-intel model=acer-aspire
sudo modprobe snd-hda-intel probe_mask=1
the bash script alsa-info.sh made the following report:

i've no idea how to solve the problem, thanks for any hints.
