Lifespan of an M66?

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi List.

My M-Audio Delta 66 (ICE1712, on Debian Linux + ALSA)
has worked perfectly for several -- say, three -- years.
But now, after a few days acting finicky -- playing only
some MIDI files but not others -- the system is emitting
no sounds at all.

If I run "speaker-test", or aplay on any of the test WAVs
under /usr/share/sounds/alsa, the screen *looks* normal --
full runtime, no errors. But no sound (even after reboot
with a just-in-case new amp).

So, I reckon this M66 has gone to heaven, and I should
just order a new one. But I wanted to ask first -- Have
I missed something obvious?

Thanks in advance!
Pete
