console or in a terminal, you can try Ctrl+S/Ctrl+Q to suspend/resume
the current process.

Okay, thanks. Isn't there a way to have these messages written to a log file? I'm using Fedora 16.
I had the same problem once of not having time to read error messages, although they appeared during boot in my case. My solution -- I'm not proud of this one -- was to take a picture of the screen with my camera when the error messages appeared. You are obviously hoping for a more elegant solution, but if all else fails...
