Hello everybody,

I need some help in debugging why i am not getting any sound out when doing ALSA is doing converting two different audio streams.

I have an sound card on an powerpc (Big Endian) embedded box which can only support 8bit mu-law audio. I am trying to play an wave file which is 16-bit LE and the system shows me that its doing the conversation but no audio is i play mu-law audio it works.

Any thoughts or how can i debug this.

Ps. here is my result from aplay.
 aplay -v Doumbek-Tek.wav
