Thank you for your answer. I would like to add that the problem does not occur in Ubuntu 10.10 neither, even if I use a USB hub. So, do you think that updating the ehci_hcd driver can solve the problem?

This is a bug in the ehci_hcd driver; it is not always able to correctly
schedule full speed audio transfers through a high speed hub because it
thinks that there is not enough bandwidth.
