Hello, I have a problem with my audio device. Information gived by the 'lspci' command: $ lspci | grep Audio 00:1d.0 Audio device: ALi Corporation High Definition Audio/AC'97 Host Controller (rev 02) Information gived by the 'alsamixer' command: Card: HDA ULI M5461 Chip: Analog Devices AD1986A This ALi sound card is integrated in the ASUS A8R-MVP mother board. http://www.alsa-project.org/main/index.php/Matrix:Vendor-ALi I am happy to see my headphone/speaker works but I am disappointed my microphone doesn't work. In alsamixer, in the 'Playback' section, I unmute 'Mic' and I set volume to 100%. In the 'Capture' section, I chose 'Mic' and 'Capture' as a capture device and I set the volume to 100%. I should hear myself when I speak into my microphone. But I just hear noise... Can you help me to make my microphone works?
