In an embedded application we use aplay 1.0.18.
We have a problem with a stereo 8KHz wav file.
my asound.conf is:
pcm.converter {

slave {
pcm "hw:0"

rate 44100
}
}
if I run:
$ aplay -vD sweep-st-8k.wav

maybe its a bug of that version?
