00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801I (ICH9 Family) HD Audio Controller (rev 02)
on my Abit IP35 Pro motherboard motherboard. My problem is that I am unable to really turn up the speakers. Under alsamixer it is turn to the max, but the output isn't really loud. I am running gentoo with the latest gentoo-source kernel. I even tried at one point the alsa-driver, but it didn't make a difference.
