Thanks much. It would have taken a week for it to sink in.

Just for the record. Do you have Debian installed and is »ebian« a copy
and paste bug or did the script do that wrong?

"ebian" is probably wrong. I've tried to fix the script. But for Debian full support (package handling), we need a volunteer (bash script programmer) to add necessary pieces to the alsa-compile.sh .
