I'm not sure if I do things right: I use kernel
2.6.32.9-70.fc12.i686.PAE. Tried putting the following in
/etc/modprobe.d/local.conf 'options snd-hda-intel beep_mode=0'. When
running 'modprobe snd-hda-intel', the module doesn't starts, and reports
back the following from dmesg: 'snd_hda_intel: Unknown parameter
`beep_mode''. Restarting the computer with this scenario results in a
beeping console, but of course with no other sound. As soon as I remove
the options line in the modprobe config, and load the module, the beep
is gone. 'rmmod snd-hda-intel' removes the module, but the beep isn't
back though. To which module should beep_mod=0 be a paramter for?

Thanks, and best regards,
Lars
