I'm looking for either an app, or some way to verify the sound volumes of current sound output, from the console. I have a couple of machines, where I have only remote access through ssh, no X and one is streaming A/V to the other, and I need a way to verify, that at least ALSA is receiving/playing sound on the output edge.
