Possibly it's something like Alsa not understanding it's a device it
will support. I assume it's visible in lsusb or using usbview?

What does cat /proc/asound/cards show?

I've got a couple of USB audio devices. Mine are really cheap things
that do USB to optical conversion. I think they both were a little
difficult to set up originally.

I don't see Wavelength here as a supported device:

Maybe this is an aftermarket of some other supported device and just
needs a USB ID to get ALSA to recognize it?
