Envy24PT driver with VT1723 based card

Hi,

I got a cheap soundcard (PPA 1431v 6 Channels 16-bit PCI) that contains
the VT1723 chip, the card seems to be detected by the Ice1724 driver, this
is what I get in the dmesg:
Nov 23 22:18:08 myth-f1 kernel: ICE1724 0000:00:0a.0: PCI INT A -> GSI 17
level, low) -> IRQ 17
Nov 23 22:18:08 myth-f1 kernel: ice1724: No matching model found for ID
0x12140324
Nov 23 22:18:08 myth-f1 kernel: ice1724: Invalid EEPROM version 1

The analog sound works, but I can't get the SPDIF to work, this is the
only reason I got the card, to replace the dead build in audio.

I'm running Debian Lenny with a self compiled kernel 2.6.29.6, I have
tried the latest kernel with the same results.

What can I change in the driver to get it to try to use the SPDIF port?

Here is some system info:
