I have no idea about the FastTrack-- I have the Transit usb device (see
www.theory.physics.ubc.ca/soundcard/soundcard.html for a test.) and it works
fine with the stock kernel plus the madfu software ( which is packaged with
most distros I believe) to load the firmware of the card. These days linux
even comes with the firmware, and you do not have to dig it out of the Windows
distro. 
To find out the features etc, go to the Maudio web site. Not sure what details
you want.
