today I got cheap card Creative Sound Blaster VX 5.1 PCI card with CA0106 chip on it (as a replacement to SB Audigy with the same chip). By default there is big NOISE coming from the card whenever the sound is produced (although some background sound can be heard). When I login first to windows and just soft-reboot the sound works OK.
I've uploaded alsa-info to http://www.alsa-project.org/db/?f=03256b90bd5ac374de8747aae81217f3154d2c0e
basically I've tried 9.04, 9.10 and F12, all produces the same result. I have also enabled back-ports and have alsa 1.0.21 running.
