So, yesterday I upgraded my KUbuntu box to Karmic and *surprise, surprise*
some drivers went wrong
This also touches ALSA, so after some searching I decided to post here
Well, the current situation looks like this:
-I compiled alsa 1.0.19 driver from source with 2.6.30 kernel and
intel8x0 as a soundcard
-snd_intel8x0, snd, snd_ac97_codec and soundcore modules are inserted
upon boot
	-crystal@Crystal:~/metopt/foo2zjs$ lspci | grep audio
00:1f.5 Multimedia audio controller: Intel Corporation 82801EB/ER
(ICH5/ICH5R) AC'97 Audio Controller (rev 02)
	-crystal@Crystal:~/metopt/foo2zjs$ cat /proc/asound/cards
		 0 [ICH5 ]: ICH4 - Intel ICH5
         		              Intel ICH5 with ALC850 at irq 17
	-crystal@Crystal:~/metopt/foo2zjs$ aplay -l
		aplay: device_list:223: no soundcards found...
And I'm done, I cry for your help, guys! Does anybody know what may be the
reason?
