Hello I have been trying to compile and load the latest (1.0.21) ALSA, but I keep getting unknown symbol errors. I first tried building against the 2.6.30.5 kernel, which had been working fine for me apart from specific intel audio issues, but I got unknown symbol errors. I made sure to recompile the kernel first with alsa and oss disabled, and I checked, using the time of creation, that the sound modules in /lib/modules/2.6.30.5 were the ones I had compiled. I then built a fresh 2.6.31 kernel and tried again, but got the same errors (see below). Have I made a mistake somewhere, or is there a fundamental incompatibility between the kernel and alsa versions? If the latter, what combination could I choose that would keep the kernel at version 2.6.30 or later (due to graphics driver issues), while still having mic level controls that work properly on a Conexant Venice device (which I understand was fixed in very recent ALSA versions)? Many thanks Robert root@ermintrude:/usr/src/alsa-driver-1.0.21# modprobe snd_hda_intel root@ermintrude:/usr/src/alsa-driver-1.0.21# dmesg -- Robert Persson Email: halfbeing@xxxxxxxxx Yahoo: halfsuperthing Skype: halbwesen http://www.facebook.com/halfbeing http://www.last.fm/user/halfbeing http://twitter.com/halfbeing |
