Crackling and popping on Audigy 2

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi

I'm having some problems with crackling and popping noise with my Audigy 2 soundcard. I've hade this problem intermittnently before but with the 1.0.20 drivers it's pretty much constant. I've tried playing around with the mixer, (un-)muting channels, changing volume, but I can't get the crackling to stop without stopping sound alltogether. I've tried re-running alsaconf in case my configuration was somehow broken. I've tried both building alsa straight into the kernel as well as buiding it as modules, neither has made any difference.

Any ideas?

I'm using:
Linux 2.6.30 (gentoo-sources-2.6.30-r4)
Alsa 1.0.20
Audigy 2 sound card

Output of lspci -v:
