M-Audio Audiophile USB and S/PDIF out

Hi!

I have a problem with my M-Audio Audiophile USB sound device and the digital audio output.

Kernel is 2.6.30, linux distribution debian/testing.

The system has two sound devices (one onboard and the USB device), onboard is card 0, the M-Audio is card 1.

„aplay -D hw:1,1 test.wav” plays over the S/PDIF connection without problems. „aplay -D hw:1,0 test.wav” plays, the receiver says, that it gets a signal, but I don’t hear anything.
„aplay -D spdif:1 test.wav” produces the same result as hw:1,0.

So how can I configure alsa to use hw:1,1 for spdif:1 instead of hw:1,0? If spdif:1 doesn’t work, pulseaudio won’t work as well.

Thanks for your help!

Shade and sweet water!

	Stephan
