Hi When attemptin to load snd-emu10k (alsa 1.0.16, kernel 2.6.26-2-686) i got following error message # modprobe snd-ymfpci [89978.686314] ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:00:11.0[A] -> Link [LNKD] -> GSI 10 (level, low) -> IRQ 10 [89978.707674] firmware: requesting yamaha/ds1_dsp.fw [89978.759835] firmware request failed: -2 [89978.773472] ACPI: PCI interrupt for device 0000:00:11.0 disabled [89978.787136] Yamaha DS-1 PCI: probe of 0000:00:11.0 failed with error -2 Card has operated years with same hardware setup with kernel 2.4. There is a inerrupt conflict with usb controller but before moving the card to another pci slot i'll like to know if the firmware is essential to the card and if so where to obtain it? -- mr.
