Re: Creative X-Fi or snd-sbxfi driver help?

Well yes I did run depmod before that and then got the error.  When compiling, it used '/usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.27-9-generic'.  However, for Ubuntu when I check my hardware drivers (System->Administration->Hardware Drivers) X-Fi Driver is listed as activated but not currently in use.  Also, 'lspci -v' lists the X-Fi with 'Kernel modules: ctxfi', but there is no line about the Kernel driver in use.  I'm assuming it should say 'Kernel driver in use: CTALSA'.

I've found a Ubuntu forum thread on the matter that I'm trying to follow, with little luck so far but I'm still reading through it.
