I have just set up a Dell Precision M4400 using Intel Corporation 82801I (ICH9 Family) sound controller I am running Fedora 10. Speakers and external microphone work fine. When I plug in the headphones I get no sound. Headphones show up in the mixer and claim to be on full volume. They work fine in Windows Xp. Alsa-info output is at http://www.alsa-project.org/db/?f=af0e48883fe43356caa97b384ae10e52973a3d96 I've browsed the threads on sound problems and have tried loading the snd-hda-intel module with model=dell-m4-1, dell-m4-2, hp-m4 and every other model that seemed plausible. I am at my wits end. I'd be grateful for help. Let me know if there is other information I should supply.
