Hi,

I had similar problem on opensuse with my ice1712 card. 
My manually solution is to execute "alsaconf" as root.
Additionally you can put 
"/etc/init.d/alsasound restart &&"
into your boot.local (maybe you have to modify your path as I don´t know 
it on Fedora 10).
