I'm trying to build 1.0.18a on Ubuntu 8.10 in order to get HDMI audio output on my Acer X1200. However, after building the drivers, lib, utils, and tools packages (plugins fails to compile for me - working with the debian package guys on that), I load the snd-hda-intel driver and see the following in /var/log/messages: $ sudo modprobe snd-hda-intel Dec 12 20:57:44 katara kernel: [356879.363732] HDA Intel 0000:00:07.0: PCI INT A -> Link[AAZA] -> GSI 21 (level, low) -> IRQ 21 Dec 12 20:57:45 katara kernel: [356879.924695] HDA Intel 0000:00:07.0: PCI INT A disabled Dec 12 20:57:45 katara kernel: [356879.925419] HDA Intel: probe of 0000:00:07.0 failed with error -22 $ aplay -l aplay: device_list:217: no soundcards found...
